Our Catholic school is part of the Catholic Church. We work in partnership with our local parish and priests in order to enrich the spiritual life of the students, staff and families of our school, especially through the celebration of the Sacraments.
The parish priest, principal, religious education coordinator, family educator and class teachers work in collaboration to inspire students to fully engage in their preparation for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation.
Our school staff supports the Sacramental program by:
- aligning the relevant Religious Education curriculum units to coincide with Sacramental preparation
- supporting the Sacramental program through attendance at parent information meetings, preparation sessions and the celebration of the Sacraments.
Students in Years 3–6 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Primary School are provided with opportunities throughout the year to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
